ART UNCORKED, An Event for the Senses

Saturday, August 7th

3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

During this intimate, interactive event, See live art demonstrations and informal fashion modeling by local artists; Taste expertly paired wine samples inspired by the artist’s work from Verve Wine and select menu offerings from Velvet Taco and Parson’s Chicken & Fish-Lincoln Park; and Hear live music performed by eclectic Chicago band, The Noize. Art Uncorked is a free event and open to the public. Additional food and wine will be available for purchase, including special wines-by-the-glass menu at Verve Wine. Attendees of all ages are welcome to enjoy this event, but must be over the age of 21 to sample and purchase alcoholic beverages.

About the Artists of Art Uncorked

Curated by the team behind the Gold Coast Art Fair, Amdur Productions, this group of artists has been hand-selected based on their ability to interactively engage attendees in addition to showcasing and selling their art. Enjoy impromptu demonstrations from each artist throughout the event:

  • Photographer James Cole showcases his most recent work from Cuba
  • Lilian Delgado explores the techniques of her thickly painted florals
  • Isabelle Gougenheim displays silk scarves featuring art from her paintings
  • Painter Peter Thadeus demonstrates how he creates his works featuring the colors of the rainbow
  • Local fashionista and designer Jennifer Akese-Burney brings her art to life through informal modeling
