Professional Building Facade Restoration to Begin Week of May 8th

The façade of the Dental Professional Building at 2358 North Lincoln Avenue will be incorporated into a new, mixed-use structure. This historic façade will be dismantled and preserved through a detailed inventory of all components. The preserved façade will be rebuilt into the new structure and will include all of the existing details. More

It began very simply. Someone called the construction office and asked for a brick from the old Children's Memorial Hospital building that was being demolished to make way for a new development. The request was honored. That simple act began a unique way for the project development manager, Hines/McCaffery Interests and W.E. O'Neil Construction, which handled the demolition, to pay homage to the many lives touched by the old hospital. More

Belmont Village Demolition & Construction Update - May 1, 2017

  • Demolition was completed on March 3, 2017.
  • The City of Chicago building permit was issued on March 24, 2017.
  • Inclinometer installation in the alley was completed on April 6, 2017.
  • Today, Monday, May 1, 2017, we are scheduled to start the underpinning work on the foundations of the adjoining properties to the North and West of the site. This work is currently scheduled to be completed in approximately 5 weeks.
  • Excavation and site work is expected to begin once the underpinning work is completed.
  • Fullerton Ave. and Orchard St. sidewalks and parking lanes have been closed and will remain closed for the duration of the project.

  • Demolition of the superstructure was completed on March 3, 2017.
  • The City of Chicago building permit was issued on March 24, 2017.
  • Inclinometer installation in the alley is scheduled for April 6, 2017, which will require blocking the portion of the alley directly behind our site for approximately 3 hours.
  • We anticipate site work and grading to begin in April.
  • Fullerton Ave. and Orchard St. sidewalks and parking lanes have been closed and will remain closed for the duration of the project.
