Belmont Village Demolition & Construction Update - June 29, 2017

  • Underpinning of the west and north neighboring properties has been completed
  • Limited excavation of the old foundation and earth retention preparation has now been completed
  • Installation of the earth retention system is expected to begin the week of July 17th and will continue through the end of the year as we excavate for the underground parking garage
  • Fullerton Ave. and Orchard St. sidewalks and parking lanes have been closed and will remain closed for the duration of the project

Belmont Village Demolition & Construction Update - May 1, 2017

  • Demolition was completed on March 3, 2017.
  • The City of Chicago building permit was issued on March 24, 2017.
  • Inclinometer installation in the alley was completed on April 6, 2017.
  • Today, Monday, May 1, 2017, we are scheduled to start the underpinning work on the foundations of the adjoining properties to the North and West of the site. This work is currently scheduled to be completed in approximately 5 weeks.
  • Excavation and site work is expected to begin once the underpinning work is completed.
  • Fullerton Ave. and Orchard St. sidewalks and parking lanes have been closed and will remain closed for the duration of the project.

Belmont Village Demolition & Construction Update - March 30

  • Demolition of the superstructure was completed on March 3, 2017.
  • The City of Chicago building permit was issued on March 24, 2017.
  • Inclinometer installation in the alley is scheduled for April 6, 2017, which will require blocking the portion of the alley directly behind our site for approximately 3 hours.
  • We anticipate site work and grading to begin in April.
  • Fullerton Ave. and Orchard St. sidewalks and parking lanes have been closed and will remain closed for the duration of the project.
